What have I been up to??

Wow! Long time no blog :/ When I launched Be Nourished Be Well, I had every intention of  writing at least one blog post per week.  Then, I let a lot of (good) things get in the way.  Well, today I have officially recommitted myself to at least attempt (see what I did there?) to write once per week. We shall see how that pans out.

So, what have I been doing all this time you ask?? Let me try to give you a quick (who am I kidding?) recap.

For starters, I have been busy running my Nutritional Therapy practice and helping clients get to the root causes of what ails them, allowing clients to live a healthier happier life. This is not only the most rewarding work I have ever done, but also the most challenging. However I wouldn't trade it for anything.

In addition to operating Be Nourished Be Well, I have been a student in the Restorative Wellness Solutions (RWS) Program.  I am now in the Level 2 program and finding RWS has been one of the most amazing experiences to date.  I have been able to broaden my services to include Functional Diagnostic Lab Tests.  These include GI/Stool Analysis, Adrenal Hormone Panels, MRT Food Sensitivity, Cycling Female Hormones and Male Hormone testing as well.  This is an enormous advantage when working with clients to restore their health and vitality.  Valuable information is gathered, and this allows me to recommend appropriate protocols based on our findings.

As if all of that wasn't enough to keep me busy...I have some other very exciting news to share! Many of you are already aware of this new venture, but for those that are not, hang on to your hats.  My husband Tom and I have purchased the franchise rights to open and operate 3 Primal Kitchen restaurants.  We are opening the first location in Granger with 2 more to follow in the Indianapolis area.  The Granger restaurant is going to be at 7130 Heritage Square Drive (in well, Heritage Square Plaza).  We have acquired the former New Balance store (they recently moved to Toscana Park.)  We are incredibly thrilled to be bringing this restaurant concept to the area. As a Nutritional Therapist, one of the things I see people struggle with the most is (easy) access to high quality, nutrient dense food while on the go. Obviously, my first choice would be for my clients to cook their meals at home but we all get busy and sometimes cooking at home just isn't in the cards, yet you still prefer to eat healthy food that actually tastes great! We can proudly say that Primal Kitchen will offer just that.

Here are some of the things you can expect from Primal Kitchen.  It will be a fast casual concept. Orders are placed at the counter and your food is delivered to your table. There will also be a grab and go cafe' where you can quickly grab a snack, smoothie or a bulletproof coffee if you are in a rush. All ingredients/products will be organic and non-GMO. Meats will be grass fed and pasture raised.  We will source locally when possible.  We will offer gluten-free beer and Organic wines from Dry Farm Wines.  These are just a few of the unique features of the Primal Kitchen Restaurant concept so stay tuned!

Follow us on our journey via Instagram, Facebook and Twitter as we get started with construction in the very near future. We hope to be open by very early 2017!
